Mental Health America of Montana

Mental Health America of Montana (MHA of MT) is a nonprofit organization whose primary focus is educating and advocating for the mental health of all Montanans. We also provide resource referrals and professional education. Mental Health America of Montana is the official Montana Outreach Partner for the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), and provides informational materials for mental health providers, consumers, family members and the general public.

MHA of MT depends on memberships to continue the efforts begun by our volunteers in 1948 to increase understanding about mental health, improve the lives of persons living with mental illness and work towards better treatment and a more consumer-driven, recovery-oriented mental health system.

Montana Warm Line

Do you need someone understanding with whom to talk? The Montana Warm Line is staffed by mental health consumers, ready to listen.

Monday - Friday 4-10 PM
Saturday-Sunday 1-10 PM

1-877-688-3377

The Warm Line provides a friendly and understanding person for those who just need someone to talk to and enables people with a mental illness to talk to a peer about issues they are facing in their lives. The Warm Line is not a crisis line; operators of the Warm Line refer people who are considering suicide or are otherwise in crisis to appropriate services. The Warm Line is staffed by a primary mental health consumer who has been trained as a peer advocate or peer specialist.

Montana Warm Line Blog has current information and articles.
