6–8 pm JACK GLADSTONE IN CONCERT (separate ticket-see below)

Join us for a relaxing evening reception, silent auction and concert with

Jack Gladstone; Blackfeet Indian singer, songwriter and masterful

storyteller.  Proceeds benefit the WRAP (Wellness, Recovery, Action

Plan) Training Program for mental health consumers in Montana.

About Jack Gladstone

A grandson of Blackfeet Indian chief Red Crow, Gladstone guides us through myths, animal legends and character portraits into a better understanding of our Native American heritage. Jack touches the hearts of his audiences with his enlightening narrative and thought-provoking songs about the adventures, triumphs and tragedies of Native America.

From timeless Blackfeet stories passed from his grandmother, Gladstone recollects mythic Creation and the role the animals played in traditional American Indian culture. His presentation includes segments on the wolf, bear, buffalo and the horse.  The show also honors the Navajo Code Talkers of World War II and other notable Indian figures whose vision inspired their peoples and established a legacy of honor for all Americans.

About WRAP

The WRAP-Wellness, Recovery, Action Plan model for consumer driven mental health care was established by Mary Ellen Copeland and has been used successfully by mental health consumers for a number of years.  The program includes these key concepts in recovery: Hope, Responsibility, Self-Advocacy, Education and Support.  Consumers develop a personal crisis prevention plan and learn valuable skills for avoiding crisis, managing medications and seeking wellness and recovery.  To date, the MMHA has trained more than 120 consumers in this great program!
